Throughout the company’s 15 years of operation, AMR Ambulance has acquired more than 200 companies, which meant that as new companies came on board with AMR, personnel were using a mix of cell phones, pagers and two-way radios from multiple carriers. It was in 1996 that AMR Ambulance realized they needed a wireless network that could provide private and reliable communications on a single cellular device.
