Give a Little “Home” to our Troops Overseas
SouthernLINC Wireless supports troops through Any Soldier Inc. by collecting, cards, letters and care package items now through Nov. 20
For the second consecutive year, SouthernLINC Wireless is supporting our local military heroes through nonprofit organization Any Soldier Inc. by collecting cards, letters and care package items from employees, affiliates, customers and community members and mailing them directly to U.S. troops deployed overseas.
Please help make this charitable endeavor a repeat success by writing a letter or donating items to be included in care packages for soldiers who have been deployed from military bases in the SouthernLINC Wireless footprint. Our servicemen and women sacrifice so much to protect our country; please show them that they are appreciated!
Show your support in a way that is comfortable for you and your budget.
Through Nov. 20, 2009, cards, letters and care package items can be dropped off at multiple SouthernLINC Wireless locations in Alabama and Georgia. Especially during the upcoming holiday season, cards and letters mean so much to our deployed military personnel, yet cost very little and require only a small time investment.
Please encourage your family and friends to write letters and donate items. And, if you have school-aged children, please talk to their teacher about making cards and drawings for the troops as a class project.
Last year’s holiday drive with Any Soldier® collected and mailed more than 1750 cards and letters and 210 care packages – weighing more than a ton – to more than 1350 U.S. servicemen and women.
In addition to writing letters and donating care package items, please consider making a monetary donation to Any Soldier. As a 501(c)(3) organization, Any Solider relies on tax-deductible contributions from the public to continue their efforts to improve the lives of American military personnel who are stationed far away from family and friends.
Currently, Any Soldier is helping approximately 100,000 active duty and reservists in all U.S. military branches who are in harm’s way. In its six year history, Any Soldier has served nearly 1.5 million members of the U.S. military.
