SouthernLINC Wireless Brings Movies Under the Stars to Mobile Alabama

Regional wireless carrier and city host two nights of free, family-friendly outdoor entertainment

MOBILE, Ala. – April 2, 2008 – SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), kicks off its fourth annual season of Movies Under the Stars on Saturday, April 12 with a free screening of “Shrek the Third” at Langan Municipal Park, Mobile, Ala. “Evan Almighty,” shows at the same location on Saturday, May 10.

SouthernLINC Wireless is also teaming up with the city of Mobile’s Neighborhood and Community Services Division to provide face painting, clowns and a petting zoo at both Movies Under the Stars events. Prior to the April 12 movie, the Mobile Pops Band will perform and WMXC-FM will broadcast live radio remotes. At the May 10 event, WKSJ-FM will be on hand and the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra and local band Emerge will provide musical entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic dinner; however, please keep in mind that park restrictions prohibit onsite cooking. Professional bass fisherman Tom Mann Jr. and outdoor enthusiast O’Neill Williams have again partnered to host one lucky winner and a guest on an all-expenses paid fishing trip off the shores of St. Simons Island, Ga. This year, SouthernLINC Wireless is also offering the choice of a luxury spa or golf package for the winner’s guest to enjoy.

From April 1 until July 18, residents of Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi age 21 and older may enter to win this exclusive trip. The winner will be announced in late August, and the trip will take place Sept. 23-26, 2008.
