ATLANTA – March 31, 2008 – Grab your bait and hook! SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), today announced it will once again host “The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime” sweepstakes. Professional bass fisherman Tom Mann Jr. and outdoor enthusiast and television personality O’Neill Williams have joined together to host one lucky winner and a guest on an all-expense paid four-day three-night fishing trip off of St. Simons Island, Ga. This is the second time SouthernLINC Wireless has paired the two on a trip of this kind.

“The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime” sweepstakes offers one winner and a guest a trip to the King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga. Both will enjoy all-expense paid accommodations while fishing for redfish on a 24-foot off-shore fishing vessel captained by Capt. Mark Noble, one of the most experienced guides on St. Simons Island. Tom Mann Jr. and O’Neill Williams will be on board to participate in the excursion and offer fishing tips to the winner.

“The Georgia coast is a terrific place to catch redfish, especially in September,” said O’Neill Williams. “The winner of SouthernLINC Wireless’ ‘The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime’ sweepstakes will win a great fishing experience. Last year’s winner called the trip an adventure to remember.”

Beginning April 1, 2008 and ending July 18, 2008, residents of Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi age 21 and older can enter to win this exclusive trip. The winner will be announced in August 2008 and the trip will take place Sept. 23-26, 2008.

New to the prize package for 2008 is the addition of a spa or golf package on St. Simons Island. Because not everyone is a fishing enthusiast, SouthernLINC Wireless also is offering the winner’s guest the choice of one full-day luxury spa package or the winner can select a golf package for four at the Hampton Club golf course at the King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort.

The all-day spa package from Studio412 includes a 90 minute massage with reflexology, 90 minute facial, 60 minute spa pedicure, 60 minute manicure and paraffin wax, shampoo and blow-dry. Full-day services include champagne or wine served with lunch. As an alternative to the spa option, sweepstakes winner and guest can enjoy a round of golf, at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort’s Hampton Club, known for its emerald, manicured fairways, ancient forests, vast salt marshes, dramatic island holes and comfortable clubhouse overlooking the lake that adds to the challenge of the course’s ninth hole. O’Neill Williams is a fishing aficionado and host of “O’Neill Outside” that airs on OLN, FSN-South and Sun Sports networks. Williams also hosts an outdoors-focused radio show that provides listeners with tips and techniques on hunting and fishing.

Tom Mann Jr. is a former fishing guide with more than 20 years experience on the professional fishing circuit. Mann is a two-time champion and nine-time qualifier of the Bassmaster Classic, and has fished extensively on lakes and rivers from New York to Arizona.
