New tower on Tybee Island will enhance reliability to better serve growing customer base

ATLANTA – Feb. 13, 2007 – SouthernLINC Wireless®, a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), today announced the addition of a new tower site on Tybee Island, which will improve wireless coverage and reliability throughout the area.

Conforming to SouthernLINC Wireless’ specifications, the new tower will ensure reliable coverage even under extreme weather conditions which is especially important for police, fire departments and other first responders.
