SouthernLINC Wireless Announces New Prepaid Service Plan and Q Comm International Partnership
ATLANTA – February 14, 2006 – SouthernLINC Wireless®,
a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), today announced the introduction
of its new Prepaid service plan in conjunction with the migration
of the company’s prepaid platform. SouthernLINC Wireless’s
Prepaid service plan offers customers the option to pay as
they go with no monthly bill, no contract and no credit checks,
making it a popular choice among mobile phone users with varying
monthly mobile phone needs.
SouthernLINC Wireless’s new Prepaid service plan now
presents current and future subscribers with a host of new
service offerings such as:
- New lower rate plans
- Only pay for InstantLINC mobile to
mobile when you push to talk
- Incoming and outgoing text messaging
- Three-way calling
Existing Prepaid customers will not need to reactivate service
nor will they experience an interruption in service as the
platform is converted.
SouthernLINC Wireless is migrating to a new in-house MiBAS
prepaid platform that allows for better control, pricing flexibility
and feature enhancements. “Our goal is to provide our
Prepaid customers with a wider variety of mobile phone features
and enhancements,” said Julie Pigott, vice president
of marketing and customer support for SouthernLINC Wireless.
“We have undertaken this platform migration and partnered
with Q Comm International to better service our current and
future prepaid subscribers.”
SouthernLINC Wireless has partnered with Q Comm International
(Amex: QMM; QMM.WS), a prepaid transaction processor, to replenish
Prepaid customer cards. Q Comm International will serve as
SouthernLINC Wireless’s leading prepaid distribution
vendor. Q Comm will also deliver replenishment cards to Q
Comm merchants throughout the southeast allowing more locations
for customers to choose from when replenishing their cards.
