Company launches sweepstakes offering exclusive fishing trip with professional fishermen O’Neill Williams and Tom Mann, Jr.
ATLANTA – April 1, 2007 – Get out your rod and reel! SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), today launched “The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime” sweepstakes. Professional bass fisherman Tom Mann, Jr. and outdoor enthusiast and television personality O’Neill Williams have joined together to take one lucky winner and a guest on an all-expenses paid fishing trip off of St. Simons Island, Ga. This is the first time the pair has worked together on a trip of this kind.
“The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime” sweepstakes offers one winner and a guest to fly to the King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga. Both will enjoy four days and three nights of all-expenses paid accommodations. The winner and guest will fish for redfish on a 24-foot fishing boat captained by Capt. Mark Noble, one of the most experienced guides on St. Simons Island. Tom Mann, Jr. and O’Neill Williams will also be on board to offer fishing tips to the winner.
“Georgia’s Golden Isles offer some of the best redfish fishing on the East Coast,” said O’Neill Williams. “The winner of SouthernLINC Wireless’ ‘The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime’ sweepstakes is in for a real treat. I will be filming my cable television program ‘O’Neill Outside’ during this trip, so the winner and guest will appear in that episode.”
Beginning April 1, 2007 and ending July 16, 2007, residents of Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi age 21 and older can enter to win this exclusive trip. The winner will be announced in late July 2007 and the trip will take place Sept. 25-28, 2007.

The Movies Under the Stars program – a series of family-oriented films that will be shown free of charge at outdoor venues throughout the Southeast. This year’s Movies Under the Stars event will kick off April 6 in Opp, Ala.
